“How can people in your country be so excited about the second coming of Christ when there are millions in my country who have never heard that He came the first time?”
With this challenge from a south Indian pastor, VFA began its ministry in India in early 1976. Since then we have seen countless people changed by the power of the Gospel. Many have been trained and have their own ministries in unreached areas. From India VFA´s vision has expanded to 12 countries in South Asia.
VFA is an international, interdenominational mission which aims to raise up, release and provide a spiritual cover for national ministries. VFA´s ministry includes the mobilization of specific, focused intercession, church-planting, training, practical help, and networks with other organizations, ministries and local churches.
VFA is active in countries located in what has been referred to as the “10/40 Window” – a geographical area containing most of the world´s unreached people groups. Worldwide there are over 16,000 different people groups, of which approximately 7000 remain unreached, according to Joshua Project statistics. An „unreached people“ has been defined as a people among whom there is no indigenous community of believing Christians with adequate numbers and resources to evangelize this people group.
